Renault 12 S 00

Hi,

Is there any one who knows which France aircraft were equipped with the Renault 12 S 00 engine? I know that the Flamant was one, but are there anymore?

Derivates of this engine were later renamed SNECMA 12S, when Renault became the property of french governement.

Thanks for your reply! I have such an engine in my workshop which came from a Flamant, but I never heart of other types with such engine. Do you know if the renaults are rare engines in France?

I don't think it's a rare engine but the probleme is to find a plane to fitted it

SNECMA 12S and 12T are not rare ;

but probably a true Renault 12S-00, in working conditions, and with potential of many flight hours, it is not so common ...

Unfortunately I don't have the logbooks of the engine. But what I know is that the engine was complete overhauled in March 1977 and that it never flown again. I can not prove it but when a specialist will open the engine he can check if it is right. The engine is complete with magnetos, generator etc. I hope that I can run the engine as soon as the wether get better.
